Michael Zayas
Regional Director – Operations
Michael brings with him a strong history in the hospitality industry, working his way through the ranks of such notable New York boutique hotels as the SoHo Grand Hotel and W New York – Times Square. He began as a front desk agent which led to positions in revenue, operations, and sales, as well as General Manager of Sheraton Lincoln Harbor and Four Points by Sheraton Manhattan SoHo-Village. He transitioned to digital marketing at Starwood Hotels where he developed and executed property specific and regional marketing plans properties in New York City and Washington, D.C. Prior to entering the hotel business, he spent six years in the fashion world at both Versace and Barneys New York.

Developing the boutique hotel experience for RHG’s portfolio of Independent properties is Michael’s priority and passion. He is tasked with cultivating a unique culture of service in our hotels and bringing it to life through employee engagement, special events, partnerships, and more. Michael’s notable experience at Soho Grand, Tribeca Grand (now The Roxy Hotel), and W New York – Times Square have provided the relevant expertise for this endeavor. Michael is currently the co-chair of the Hospitality Committee for the Queens Chamber of Commerce, a committee member of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce’s LGBT Business Committee, and a member of OUT Professionals, the nation’s leading LGBT non-profit network.
