MADE Hotel Slated To Open During New York Fashion Week
July 20, 2017 JustLuxe
MADE Hotel is scheduled to enhance the Manhattan hotel scene just in time for New York Fashion Week with an opening scheduled for September 5. The inaugural hotel project from hospitality entrepreneur Sam Gelin will feature 108 guest rooms across 18 stories and numerous dining options including a coffee shop, lobby bar, rooftop, and restaurant, all helmed by Executive Chef Greg Proechel, formerly of the highly acclaimed Le Turtle.
Sam Gelin enlisted the LA based interior design firm Studio Mai to craft its contemporary, globally minded environment that demonstrates a strong attention to detail for the design-minded individual. Rich, yet conscious materials are being used including custom-dyed fabrics, hand-painted wall tiles, exposed concrete tubs, hand-carved stone sinks, stainless steel mirrors, and solid walnut and brass light fixtures. Tasteful guest rooms exude understated elegance with directionless beds and customizable racking systems that take a reinvented approach to traveling and storage solutions and makes each room personable.
With MADE, Gelin’s aim is to create a warm retreat from the city’s hectic pace and to foster an inclusive and convivial environment, creating a space that anticipates the needs of its guests as day transitions to night. The communal and airy lobby welcomes guests with its warm and soothing tones and natural lighting, enticing them to linger a bit longer over morning coffee or perhaps a craft cocktail in the evening. The rooftop bar offers stellar views of the Empire State Building and the historic architecture of the surrounding NoMad buildings. After enjoying the city views over cocktails on the rooftop, guests can meander down to the ground level to dine at the elegant restaurant or grab a glass of wine at the lobby wine bar. MADE is now accepting reservations for you to plan your next New York adventure.
